Social Provider Updates

LoginRadius stays up-to-date with the Social ID provider changes and here are some major changes from the most commonly used social ID providers:

Facebook

Facebook has deprecated its Graph API version 2.12 as of May 1st, 2020. The next version that will be available is Version 3.0. In this version, there are a few changes to the available data fields and some workflows.

Yahoo

Yahoo! is deprecating it’s current Social Profile APIs and Legacy Social directory APIs will continue to serve until June 30th, 2020. In order to keep service as smooth as possible, LoginRadius will automatically update you to the newest Social Provider API from Yahoo! Please refer to our Yahoo Provider Update documentation for more details. 

To support these changes you are also required to make some changes to your Yahoo! App configurations.

Instagram

Instagram will soon deprecate its Instagram API Platform and with these recent changes in the Instagram API Platform, LoginRadius is deprecating the support of Instagram Login from May 12th, 2020. A final shut down is scheduled from Instagram on June 29th, 2020.

If you are currently leveraging Instagram Social Login, there are limitations in the upcoming Instagram API version which prevents it from being used for login purposes.
