What is Bring Your Own Identity (BYOI)?

Bring Your Own Identity, or BYOI, lets users log in with an identity they already have. This could be from Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Apple, or a company identity provider. Users do not need to create a new account for each app or service. BYOI works through standards like SAML and OpenID Connect. It makes login easier, reduces password fatigue, and keeps security consistent. It is common in CIAM and B2B IAM systems.
