MFA (Multifactor Authentication)

What is MFA (Multifactor Authentication)?
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security method that requires two or more verification factors to grant access. It can protect applications, user accounts, or VPNs. MFA adds factors beyond a username and password, such as one-time passwords (OTPs) or security questions. It is a key part of a strong Identity and Access Management (IAM) policy.
