What is SOC 2?
SOC 2 is a compliance standard that checks how companies protect customer data. It was created by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The standard looks at whether a service is secure, reliable, accurate, private, and keeps information confidential. In identity management, SOC 2 means that a CIAM platform has strong controls to protect user data. It ensures logins are secure, access is tracked, and personal information is managed safely.
