Authanvil
AuthAnvil was an IAM product line providing two-factor authentication (2FA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and a Password Server (enterprise password vault and web SSO). Components included Two Factor Authentication, Password Server, and Single Sign Server.
Key Capabilities
-
Multi-factor authentication: Security server validates single-use passwords (OTP) with a user PIN for sign-in.
-
Single Sign-On (SSO): Central SSO service (“Single Sign Server”) for applications; documented SAML 2.0 integrations (e.g., BMS/Vorex) and SSO endpoint patterns.
-
Password Server (vault & web SSO): Centralized credential vault with shared vaults/scopes; integration with SSO.
-
Kaseya VSA integration: Built-in configuration to enforce 2FA/SSO for Kaseya VSA logons and sessions.
Limitations
-
Product line retired: AuthAnvil On-Premises and AuthAnvil On-Demand support ended Dec 31, 2023; successor branding is Passly.
-
Successor (Passly) also scheduled EOL: Passly end of life announced for Dec 31, 2025 (renewals stop at shutdown).
-
Legacy architecture: On-prem edition was an IIS-hosted application; legacy Windows Credential Provider and older platform targets apply.
