Harness the New Reality With BroadcastMed
Streaming educational insights right from the operating room
Established in 1994, BroadcastMed is a US-based video broadcasting company that publishes trusted educational content for healthcare professionals across the globe. Among its affiliates include big healthcare brands like Mt. Sinai, John Hopkins Medicine, and Philips, one of the largest electronic conglomerates in the world and Stryker that have over 5638 patents owned globally.
As a publisher of tutorial healthcare ailments, BroadcastMed officially introduced the BroadcastMed Network in 2013 to curate medical content on demand.
Today, with over 51 active client channels and 13 specialty syndication channels, BroadcastMed utilizes robust digital strategies to usher maximum physician and patient engagement in the pharmaceuticals marketplace.
BroadcasMed approached LoginRadius with three enterprise-centric requirements:
BroadcastMed needed a robust healthcare data protection program to ensure that patient information and admin accounts are secured and can be accessed exclusively by authorized persons.
BroadcastMed inclined towards LoginRadius to deploy properly authenticated data usage controls around sensitive data.
BroadcastMed was looking for the flexibility to update code in their content management system. They sought to enhance system usability and, subsequently, create a more seamless experience for viewers to register on their program.
BroadcastMed approached LoginRadius to take over their authentication spectrum and create a frictionless registration process for end-users.
BroadcastMed wanted to integrate SSO with their distribution and syndication partners. They approached LoginRadius to simplify the use of usernames and passwords. The key was to validate modern user experience where a single set of credentials open multiple paths and opportunities.
Security and compliance
The strength of LoginRadius lies at being a standardized, secure, and consistent customer experience provider platform. With our comprehensive data protection protocol and streamlined login procedure, we reassure our clients that their customer data is 100% safe.
To meet BroadcastMed’s need for strict compliance with the healthcare industry, we provided excellent authentication and security enhancements. Our certifications include OpenID, PCI DSS PCI SSC, ISO 27001:2013, ISO 27017:2015, AICPA SOC 2 (Type II), ISAE 3000, NIST, CSA Star certifications, CSA Star certifications, HIPAA/HITECH, CCPA, and GDPR compliance.
With LoginRadius, implementation was pleasant and smooth. BroadcastMed could leverage the National Provider Identifier (NPI) database – a 10-digit unique identification number issued in the United States to verify the identity of registered healthcare providers.
Code enhancement and flexibility
Flexibility in writing codes was a crucial requirement for BroadcastMed. As a provider of cutting-edge identity platform at LoginRadius, we took the load off them not just by writing new codes but updating the exiting ones.
From supporting the latest innovations in registration and login processes to integrating custom objects, we achieved all the milestones set forth by BroadcastMed.
Implementation of Single Sign-On
Single Sign-On is a lifecycle identity management capability that enables users to access multiple platforms from one place.
Using the LoginRadius SSO, BroadcastMed could open a single gateway to multiple syndication partners with just one set of credentials.
We provided a centralized login system where users can seamlessly navigate to third-party sites like Doximity and other syndication partners without the need to log in and out every time.
How did we do it?
The strength of LoginRadius lies at being a standardized, secure, and consistent customer experience provider platform.
The crux of the BroadcastMed and LoginRadius partnership was to help BroadcastMed create a frictionless customer onboarding process. By utilizing the LoginRadius’ system-agnostic platform, we helped BroadcastMed offer seamless and easy authentication to their customers.
As a result, BroadcastMed can now focus more on what it does best – curate quality healthcare content for physicians and hospitals across the globe.
