Web and Mobile SSO allows your customers to sign up and authenticate independent applications that are controlled by you. Customers can gain access to each app using the single digital identity based on their defined roles and permissions.
Companies that do not have SSO capabilities create a broken and painful experience for their customers. These legacy experiences don’t meet the expectations of modern customers, resulting in low conversion, low engagement, and low customer retention rates.
SSO also plays a key role in centralizing customer data and creating unified profiles. Eliminating data silos this way helps organizations better understand their customer base.
Web SSO and Mobile SSO function similarly but in different environments:
- Web SSO has core SSO capability that works on the browser level across applications hosted on domains and subdomains. If a customer navigates from one domain to another domain of the same organization, LoginRadius identifies that customer, authenticates them, and provides permitted access.
- Mobile SSO works on the mobile level across separate mobile apps on a device. If a customer authenticates on a mobile app and opens another mobile app owned by the same organization, LoginRadius detects the customer and gives access without making customer sign up or authenticate.
One set of credentials for multiple sites
All websites and mobile apps connected to the Identity Platform share one single database. When a customer registers for an account through the registration interface of any connected web or mobile app, one user profile is created. The customer can log in to all of the other websites and mobile apps using the same set of credentials.
Enable seamless navigation from site to site
Since customers have a single set of credentials for all web and mobile apps connected to the Identity Platform, SSO can be set up to allow user sessions to carry over from site to site, so that once a customer logs into a site, they can navigate to site B and/or site C without being prompted to re-enter their credentials.
View unified customer profiles through Admin Console
All data is centralized for each customer and managed in the LoginRadius Cloud Directory. The data can be visualized in the LoginRadius Admin Console under Customer Management.
